7) Heat Energy - Efficient or Inefficient
Energy transformations can be described as either efficient or inefficient. Efficient transformations waste very little energy, converting most of the energy into useful forms and generally making it cheaper to run. Cars are very inefficient - only 20% of the energy created by petrol goes into moving the car.

A) Learn about Heat Energy
* Is there a difference between the meaning of "Heat" and "Temperature" ? Use your textbooks to find out. * Do you understand the difference between "Conserving Energy" and "Energy Efficiency"? You can watch and add important information from the beginning of the video "Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency" to learn about the difference between conserving energy and being efficient with energy. * Create a list of some of the ways that your group have discovered of how people can be more efficient with their energy use. |
