ESSA Practice Paper
There are three complete papers to work through. Each document includes the multiple choice section, the extended response section and the stimulus booklet.

This is a summary of content that MAY not have been covered when you do the ESSA task and some questions you could complete.
1) cells are organised into tissues, organs and organ systems
2) a brief outline of what each of these body systems does
a. digestive system - mouth/stomach/small and large intestine - to break down and absorb foods to supply body with energy and the raw materials needed to survive and grow
b. circulatory system - blood/heart/artery/vein/capillary - to transport gases (e.g oxygen), nutrients and heat around body and to help protect against disease
c. respiratory system - lungs - to take oxygen into blood and remove carbon dioxide
d. excretory system - lungs and kidneys - removal of toxic wastes - carbon dioxide from lungs, nitrogen-containing waste from kidney (urine)
e. skeletal system - bones and muscles - for support of body, movement and protection
3) Microorganisms (like bacteria) are found in and on the body. They help keep body healthy but if found in wrong part of body or in large numbers, may cause disease
4) Disease is any condition where the body does not work as it should
