At Santa we believe in an optimistic and hope-filled view of the world.
Our Pastoral Program aims to skill students and nurture understanding of how we each develop our own strengths and potential to be our best self – in learning, in relationships and in action within communities.
By embracing and nurturing our own true colours we also promote the expression of true colours in others, so that together we contribute to a world of promise and hope.

Individual Service Learning:
1) Complete the survey, created by our Social Justice Action Group, to inspire and explore possibilities for your own Service Learning. 2) Go to your e-portfolio, create a new content block "My Service Learning" and begin listing ideas for your service learning in 2015. Students to set own personal targets – what do they want to learn from/ be challenged by Service Learning? You may want to find some social justice quotes to put on your block that inspire you to act. Yr 12s also to reflect on lives beyond school - consider career choices, travel experiences, gap years which may provide opportunity for Service. |

Ideas for Year 12 Farewell Cards
Mental Health Month - October
Mindfullness Activities
1) What is Mindfullness? Mindfulness is a state of being fully awake to life; being aware and undistracted in the present moment and observing life as it unfolds without analysis or judgment. It is about focusing attention on the here and now, rather than thinking about the past or worrying about the future. 2) Share the Positivity Game - There is a card for each student in the homeroom. Everyone must write a POSITIVE and MEANINGFUL comment on a person's card. If you are unsure what to write, go to the person and ask them about how they are feeling at them moment. Are they struggling with anything? or have they experienced success in something recently? Use their answers to create a MEANINGFUL comment on their card. 3) Your First Mindfullness Meditation - Exploring your breath 4) Take Home Activity - Are You Still Breathing? |
